Marvell has an advanced 3G PXA978 single chip TD-SCDMA baseboard for
penetrating the China Mobile 3G market. So how well is that selling?
Marvell referred to their China sales in today's 4th quarter report:
"...said Dr. Sehat Sutardja, Marvell's Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer. "During fiscal 2012, Marvell was successful in several new
products and initiatives. Our China TD business is now producing
tangible results"
Tangible results probably means measurable results. So they have some
sales. Good sales growth? Well they didn't specifically say that.
Marvell is not closely focused on competing in the cell phone space.
It is a small part of their overall strategy.
