There's been some silly gibberish on Yahoo message board (actually
only one- and if you knew where he worked, you'd understand why) about
4G taking faster than expected, and SPRD missing the party. Anyone
tuned into the facts knows otherwise.

First and foremost, SPRD is not a one-trick pony with TD-SCDMA (though
they have the most advanced TD-SCDMA chips, corresponding to China
Mobile's stations... the largest provider in China). SPRD is at the
forefront of 3G delivery and 4G development (including LTE and EDGE)

SAMPLE:
"Our single-chip multi-mode TD-LTE solution is a highly integrated
platform specifically designed for the communication standards in use
in China," said Dr. Leo Li, Spreadtrum's president and CEO. "We are
launching our solution as China Mobile begins more extensive trials
domestically. The depth of experience we bring in TD-SCDMA products,
combined with our early leadership in China's 4G network evolution,
positions Spreadtrum as a long-term leading provider of multimode
baseband solutions."

What many don't realize is the process China Mobile must go through
for 4G availability- not only updating/evolving stations, but
governement licensing (etc., READ BELOW LINK). Again- per above - SPRD
is the big dog on their block, 3G and 4G notwithsdanding!

IMHO, SPRD management recognizes prices are relative to analyst
projections and such... offered lower Q1 guidance... they've left a
question mark on Q2... these are very honest appraisals, obviously,
without much regard for short-term interests -- but setting up for a
longer term knowing they're very much "there"... both in terms of 3G
market right now, and they'll be there as China Mobile rolls out 4G
LTE accessibility.

After a year of stupendous growth-- right up through the last Q, and
even growth in Q1/2012 (though less than analyst projections)... I
like what I'm seeing with this company. New website showcases this
future: http://Spreadtrum.com.
