COVID-19 Update

March 20, 2020

Dear Sprague School Parents and Families:

RE: DISTRIBUTION OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

As you are most likely aware, on Monday, March 23, the Sprague teaching staff will begin to distribute instructional materials to Sprague students and their parents.  If you are wanting to pick up your child’s instructional materials at school on that day between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, note the following:

·       In order to protect the health and safety of everyone, we will be limiting the flow of traffic coming in the school building at one time. To aid our efforts, we will be locking the front entry of the school by the district office in the high school. Please know that school personnel will be right at the door to open it for you. If for any reason there is no one at the door, please knock.

·       You might be asked to wait outside of the building for a short period of time before you are able to enter to prevent too many people from being in the building at one time in order to reduce the health and safety risk.

·       For easy access, high school student instructional packets will be organized by class (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) and student name on separate tables in the high school foyer. Elementary student instructional packets will be organized by class (K, 1, 2, 3, 4) on separate tables in the lunchroom. In addition, supplies such as crayons, pencils and other items will be available in zip-locks if your child’s elementary teacher has indicated that they are needed.

·       If you have your younger children accompanying you into the building, you are asked to hold their hand and keep them from moving about the building on their own.

·       Please be aware that all school staff will be practicing social distancing by maintaining a 6-foot buffer between themselves and other people. It is asked that everyone coming into the school building also practice social distancing with others who are outside of their immediate family.

·       Please limit your time inside the school building so that all other parents and students have an opportunity to get in and out in a timely manner.

Thank you for your help on keeping everyone healthy and safe!

Sincerely,

Bill Ressel, Superintendent

Sprague School District
