Hi SPPUD,
In addition to Nick's potluck I posted on our site earlier, Sandra has graciously set up a more formal gathering for Sunday, December 13 to help us raise some funds (see forwarded email below).  We can discuss it more at our December 2 meeting, but anyone who can should try to make it and bring a dish.  Thanks all!

Ryan

Sandra Pinel (CSS and BIOP) & Micheal Evans are sponsoring a holiday- end of the semester celebration for both the Conservation Social Science and Building Sustainable Communities/Bioregional Planning communities. We hope to attract faculty, staff and graduate students and their families for food, conversation, and celebration. This is modified potluck, but with a DIFFERENT TWIST to include a little fund raising for our student clubs (read below)

The Event is on Sunday December 13, from 3:00 PM till 8:30 PM at 683 Panorama Drive, Moscow Idaho (Sandra and Mike’s)
Take 6th east until it ends, take a right to the top of the hill and the only right (which is Panorama). Drive south on Panorama, down the hill, to 683 – about midway on the right. The house has a 3 sided red porch and steep roof. You will see lights around the rail. You may also arrive by taking White to Fairview and then left on Panorama to go up the hill to the house.

EVENT THEME:    Multicultural Holidays – Latin American and Caribbean food (the Caribbean includes many food origins from West Africa, India to the Andes), so diverse and inclusive of multiple holiday food traditions.

We will provide a couple of main dishes and appetizers.
Faculty should bring either food OR a contribution to the student club “Students for Place Based Planning and Community Design or SPPUD”. Suggested donations for the empty-handed are $25. Those making a donation will also get a chance at a small holiday gift. Drinks are also appreciated. Students could bring a food or drink item, as they wish or as time permits.

Caribbean and Veracruz Cookbooks are available at the office for those looking for ideas. Thank you and we look forward to the get together

Steve and Sandra
