We're now releasing 1.20.2 for Minecraft: Java Edition. This release comes with more diamond ore in the deep regions of the world and changes to mob attack reach as well as optimizations to the game's networking performance enabling smoother online play even on low-bandwidth connections.

So I can't update, it's saying no new updates were found and that I'm on the newest version. My brother who is on Xbox wants to play on a world I own and it wont let him because I'm not on 1.20.50 like he is. I have tried the following: restarting my PC, repairing Minecraft, resetting Minecraft and uninstalling it and still nothing. Ive also tried the same to Microsoft store and it still is saying no new updates were found. Any ideas?

This seed was originally found by Redditor Hanazeri in 1.19, and the magnificent icy landscape in the image above still stands in the 1.20 update. What makes this even better after Tales and Trails though is the addition of a Cherry Grove biome right next to one of the icy mountains. The vantage point above can be found at coordinates x=93, z=2,655, while the snowy mountain and cherry blossom combo can be found a *cough* short *cough* walk along the x-axis to x=-694, z=2,846.
I've searched a lot on the internet, but probably not in the right places as everything I've found is outdated and doesn't match what I'm looking for.I've also taken an in-depth look at the vanilla furnace and blast furnace code, but I have to admit I'm a bit confused.The next thing I'm probably going to do is download a 1.20 mod that contains custom furnaces and see how they're made but I must admit I'd like to know how the authors figured out the trick.So if you have any links or tips, I'll be happy to receive them!
