Hello SPOT Users,
Does anyone know when the SPOT Pro update will be released?  It had been scheduled for the end of August but no announcements have appeared.

Hi Chris - SPOT Pro v5.0 was quietly released a couple weeks ago and is now downloadable from the website.  I am about to post a minor update, v5.01, and will be sending out official SPOT Pro release announcements after that.

Cheers!

Thank you Zack! I will give it a good test.

Did you get my reply to your other email listing you errors?

Hi Zack,
Yes, I did receive your reply. Work has been a bit crazy this past few weeks.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I have just one follow up question:
9) There is also a new feature in SPOT Pro v5.0 that checks your projects directory and fixes it if it has been moved to another location.  This works well.  You can now copy your SPOT Project, which is the entire directory that the *.xlsm file lives in, to another location and it will still run.

Should I copy the sub-directories under the directory where the .xlsm file live? I assume so.

I am starting a new daylighting project next week. It is an analysis of a typical patient room in a new hospital. I will be demonstrating Spot to my manager once I finish.

Hello Zack,
I am starting a SPOT project starting next week.
I have downloaded the 5.1 release but not installed it.

I am hoping you would allow me to install SPOT on
my work computer and then move the license my
laptop after the project. I believe I will be
able to convince the company to purchase more
licenses once they see how useful it is.

The project is small, just one typical patient
room in a hospital modeled in the four
directions. I will be looking at a few glazing layouts as well.

Also, do I use the original license code I
received when I purchase SPOT in August?

Thanks for your consideration.
