Dear All
We, at Salwan Public School have been celebrating ‘Samman Diwas’ with great pride since 2003, as an annual event of Salwan Education Trust to pay our respectful tribute to the valiant soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces. Through this event, we endeavour to instill in our students, deep patriotism and gratitude for the brave men and women of our motherland who dedicate their lives for our safety and security.
This year we are organizing Samman Diwas on Saturday, 20 December 2025 to honour the sentinels of the nation for the selfless services rendered by them and to salute the supreme sacrifices of our brave martyrs. Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Delhi Area has kindly consented to grace the momentous occasion as the Chief Guest. Ms. Veditha Reddy, IAS, Director of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi has also consented to grace the prestigious event as our Guest of Honour.
We are also honoured to organize the 28th Raktdaan Shivir for the Armed and Paramilitary Forces and their families. The Raktdaan Shivir is a pioneering initiative undertaken by the Salwan Education Trust annually since 1995 in association with the Armed Forces Transfusion Centre. We express our heartfelt gratitude towards the bravehearts of our country by providing ‘Patient Welfare Amenities’ to Army Hospital (Research & Referral) every year. This year, the Raktdaan Shivir will be inaugurated by Lt Gen Avinash Das, Commandant, Army Hospital (R & R).
The highlights of Samman Diwas include felicitation of the brave men and women in uniform as well as felicitation of Veer Naris, Padma Shri Awardees and Young Iconic Changemakers. A cultural programme will be presented by the students. Mahabhoj (Food Fiesta) prepared by the parents of our students will also be hosted to honour the guardians of our frontiers.
