I know when you enter a query, the section on the top shows you what the record would have been had you bought or sold points (for 6 and 10 points) under the Teaser Records section.

I'm wondering if there is a way to build this type of thing right into the query with any number of points you like.

For example, Chiefs as a home dog since the 2001 season (team = Chiefs and season > 2000 and HD) are 23-22-1 ATS. I would like to know if I had bought 2 points in each of those games, what the ATS record would be.

Thanks

I dont believe you can get exactly what you want, but try this:

team and season > 2010 and HD, (HD and ats margin < -2)

It will give 2 rows for each, one row shows record as HD and other row shows number of losses even after buying 2 points

Bears only team with 5 games since 2010 you would not have lost if buying the 2

Thank you. I think I understand. If you flipped it and used (HD and 0 >= ats margin > -2) for the second part, that would return games that pushed and games that lost ATS by less than two points--in other words, games that you would have won (or pushed) had you bought 2 points.

In the Bears example,

team = Bears and season > 2010 and (HD and 0 >= ats margin >= -2)

...returns 0-3-3 ATS. So that would indicate you would have won 6 additional games had you bought two points.

Then you would also have to do ats margin = -2 to find games where buying the 2 points would have caused a push. That returns 2 such games. So adjusting the original record of 10-14-3, buying two points in every game would have caused a record of 16-9-2.
