MISCONDUCTING OF CROSSY GC

The CROSSY GC today has been conducted in a very unfair manner.

1.You did not mention anywhere that next 10 mins are not going to be considered.The hostel that had lost much was
   H2 has got 198 points and H4 has got 203 points.and most of the players of H2 are in the next 10 mins which u didn't even consider(And giving such a lame excuse that u don't have stop watch seriously?).

2.Many of the runners were coming in tum-tums, some directly started from their hostels instead of H14.There was no one to check this.

3.No refreshments were provided.

4.Nothing about the crossy gc was posted here untill vatsal asked here and that one mail too doesnot mention the changed route(I doubt many of the co's don't know this untill today)
5.@Babu and where are the draws of all the GC's I specifically asked for this and u haven't given this upto now.
6.Who is the player of the GC for Football,Badminton,Basketball ?
7.Why are the refreshments not provided for Football GC quarters, i donno abt semis and finals?"

8.There are many more issues but lemme concentrate on CROSSY for now.

I want complete explanation of all these things from the Respective Secies and the Nom.And tell me how are you going to compensate the loss we had today.
This is not coming only from me(h2).We need an emergency meeting sort of GBM to discuss all these issues ASAP.
Otherwise we are going to take strong action.

I too have one concern that he didn't wrote the bib no. Instead only wrote hostel no. For many runners its individual competition so they want to know thier position. Please consider this point

Dear All,

I would like to answer the questions raised by Ram Krishna. I will do it point-wise.

1. Regarding this point, i would say that this was a mistake on the organizing committee's part. There were not enough volunteers when receiving the finishers, and Yadav Sir left the race mid way (who was supposed to have the stop watch). This is not an excuse, just thought it was worth mentioning. I deeply apologize for this mistake. Knowing that apology only is not sufficient, i would like to invite suggestions to compensate this in any way.

2. The number of volunteers for this years' crossy were more than those last year. Same precautions were taken as last year. The only thing that happened this year was that more people actually cheated, or probably visibly cheated. Since we followed the norm in this case, we did not anticipate that such a thing would happen.

3. + 7. Regarding refreshments, the Dean SA delayed the clearing of the bill (again, I know this cant be a excuse). This is again a mistake on the council's part. I would like to compensate for this by providing each hostel twice the number of refreshments that they could have required. The hostels can use them for their internal functioning.

5. All GC draws were posted on individual threads for the GCs. (Like the hockey thread has the details for the hockey GC).

6. PoGC for baddy, basky have already been announced on the GC thread. Football PoGC is Sudeep Nandi from H13.

 

To summarize, I am very sorry for the poor quality of organizing of the CROSSY, and regarding the availibility of refreshments. I know this wont solve anything, but i hope you accept it, and suggest compensation of any sort. We can discuss on the most feasible solution.
