This Google group is a replacement for the Sportscience Yahoo group. It has "ex" in the name to indicate a broadening of the content to exercise science.

Let's aim for a level of discourse like there used to be on the Yahoo group some years ago. We should be able to achieve more informed, interactive and civil discussions than we see currently in other social media.

You need to be a member to start a new topic or to reply to a topic. Email your message to sportexsci@googlegroups.com from the email account you used to subscribe, or use the group's website to post a message. All messages are moderated, i.e., sent to chosen member(s) for approval. Moderation prevents spamming and clutter; it is not intended to be censorship. We can set the postings to unmoderated for discussions of controversial topics, if anyone wants that.

When replying to a group message via email, the default is a reply to the sender. If the topic is a request for information, reply to the sender, who should post a summary of replies, like we used to. If the topic is a discussion, reply to everyone via sportexsci@googlegroups.com (in Outlook, Ctrl-Shift-R selects this email address).
