He has indicated that the Miami Race Week would be a great venue. I
have lived and raced on Biscayne Bay for 11 years and can say its the
best small boat sailing venue in North America.
I have been contacted by a representative from Seawaniaka Corinthian
Yacht Club asking if we can get enough entries for 1 or 2 sport boat
sections this May 21-22 2005 at the new Jamie Boeckel Memorial Regatta.
Now is the time to speak up. We can begin now, write our own safety
rules allowing open sport boat design, KISS, simple PHRF rating and go
sailing.
Who can make it? How many will determine our sections breaks if any.
Lets show N.A. that we can organize and participate.
Who's up for it? Send your intention to race at this event and with

As for the Jamie Boeckel Memorial Regatta I would be somewhat
interested if I could trailer my boat and launch it with a hoist at
their club. Would this be available?
If this is going to be one of two "sanctioned" North American Sportboat
events, why have it so early in the year? I don't know about the rest
of the group but my boat is sitting high and dry waiting for the snow
soon to come from todays storm to melt. Why not have the regatta later
in the summer? Someone else can suggest the venue
I'll ask about launching. Get back to you soon.
