Unable to load spork server

I've been tearing my hair out trying to get spork working but I'm
getting this wierd error:

spork -d
>> undefined local variable or method `ssl_exceptions' for Admin::ActivitiesController:Class (NameError)

it seems like it can't find the ssl_exceptions method (part of the
ssl_requirement plugin) inside the Admin namespace

Here is the full error + traces, my spec_helper.rb and admin/

The ssl_exceptions method referred to is from the ssl_requirement gem:

Any help would be appreciated.
