I've visited Sporeum a few times over the past 24 hours. The last
time was just a few minutes ago when I saw Dirk's farewell.
I knew it was coming. I was prepared for it. I didn't think it would
be all that big a deal at this point. But darnit, I'm a bit choked
up.
I will miss Sporeum.

Agreed. I saw Dirk's farewell message a little after midnight. It
brought a tear to my eye.
I'll miss Sporeum, but as I spent the evening looking over some old
threads, I've come to realize that what I'll really miss (and what
I've been missing for a while) is the Sporeum we had in the early
days, when there was a great sense of optimism and lively
discussions. Like the mythical Phoenix, this community will rise from
the ashes.

I think Dirk's got it all now, but welcome to the pod.
Just a note to anyone who hasn't already done so: please visit the
Escape Pod Roster page and sign in, we may need to do a head count
every now and then. Especially if Newt decides to go for a walk

don't worry about the bandwith cops I don't think there will be plenty
of room for it and if it won't let you upload it in one file you could
always upload it in multiple files
