Hi all,

I think I've seen quizzes where after you enter an answer you get a tidbit of info.  I'm making a quiz for my students and would like to give them a bit of info once they guess the right answer.  Something like this:

their answer:  hurricanes
comes up on the table as:  storms
extra info, possibly in another column:  the storms category includes hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones...

I've so far got it set up to show 'storms' when any of the storm types are input (ie I've put storms/hurricanes/etc. into the data section), but haven't figured out how to add the extra info or another column where the info on all the other types of storms could come up.  Ideas?

Also, is there a way to have Sporcle show a hint if a particular answer, not correct but close enough to deserve a hint, is input?

Thanks!

In the third column on the Data tab, enter your extra info. Then, in the Options tab check off "Hide 3rd column until answered". Then in the main tab, make sure you give a label to the Extra Info column so it appears.

As for the hint, you can use bonus answers with the ee. Something like this:
First column           Second Column                             Third Column
The First State        Delaware
The First State        Close but misspelled!/Deleware       ee

Brilliant!  Thank you.  It's working perfectly now.

So I am making a quiz where after you answer your "this or that" option, the third column reveals more information.  I have no problem with displaying the information after the correct answer is given, but if the incorrect answer is given, the best I have come up with has been to display the extra information, but with an "ee/" right in front of it.  Is there any way to get around that?

Not in the third column, but like this.

First Colums                                                                                                Second Column                                                      Third Column

Which state was admitted first A) Delaware or B) Massachusetts               It's Delaware, Delaware is the first state/A

Thank you, DS.  I'm afraid I repeated myself and posted separately here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/sporcle-university/Wb445zU8ViA, and offered a little more information there.  As you can see, I am trying to include a lot of info, and I prefer if it shows it's not coming from me.  As a last resort, I would try it that way, but if there is ANY way around it, that would be great.
