I'm making a Clickable quiz right now and I can't figure out how to get multiple answers under one clue with the check marks (like this: http://www.sporcle.com/games/sproutcm/11-to-1-shooting-gallery).

Is there a way for me to do this?

Yes, you can do it. But you have to think outside the box. (Pun intended). The checkboxes are not an actual option on Sporcle. Sproutcm has inserted them himself. So I think in the hint column you would put whatever the topic is--say "Sports"--and then put
after it so that there is a line break, and then put the little box symbols, which you can copy from somewhere online. Or right here. You'd do it multiple times; however many different answers there are. And each time you would replace one empty box with one x box.

Hint column

Sports
☒□
Sports
□
Sports
□

And so forth.

And in the answer column you would put all of the answers for each subject; the order doesn't matter as long as each one gets a turn to be the first one listed so it shows up as an answer square.

Sports
☒□ Basketball/baseball/football/golf
Sports
□ Golf/baseball/golf/football
Sports
□ Football/golf/baseball/football

And so forth.

All of the answers have to be accepted for that topic every time so that it doesn't matter what "stage" the user is at in that subject for it to be registered as correct.

When you move on to a new subject, replace the the subject heading and the set of answers.

At least I think that's what he did. I'm kind of rusty on this level of clever quiz making. Anyone is free to correct me if I'm getting it wrong.

Well explained, it would be great if this could be pinned or marked in a blog/FAQ somewhere, since the question comes up so often.

One of the initial goals of the BunchofCurators group over a year ago, was to create templates for quizzes such as these, in fact there is already a template along these lines, for the 5-Star quiz, as developed by manonthemoon a long time ago.

But it is still a preliminary idea, as the technology would need to be worked out to enable quiz-makers to access, but not modify, the game creation pages ranging from Options, to Data, to Style. The idea is that people could view all aspects of a particular design, but not tinker with the pages.

It has been the hope of those involved, that such templates could serve as a means to answer the repeated questions that come up in the forum concerning various quiz formats.

Meanwhile, maybe some of the enthusiastic participants who are sprucing up the Sporclepedia Wiki will take on at least "writing out" procedures for some of these, as dru above has done, as well as at least a dozen others before him (for that formatting style), and many others as well.

I just found this threas, which was exactly what I needed, however I have the problem that some answers fall in two of the categories.

For example I would have colours (orange, yellow and purple) as well as fruits (orange, apple and pear)

How can I make sure that people cannot click orange twice?

I have it in the following format right now:

Color
☒ Orange/Yellow/Purple
Color
Yellow/Purple/Orange
Color
Purple/ Orange/Yellow
Fruit
Orange/Apple/Pear
Fruit
Apple/Pear/Orange
Fruit
Pear/Apple/Orange

how can I ensure that people cannot click orange twice for the same categorie?

I think the best solution would be to (a) choose different categories, (b) remove the ambiguous answer altogether, or (c) put a caveat in the game note recognizing that you could press the same answer twice in the same category, but also that it will prevent a perfect score.
