Call to Join Atlanta Knanaya Makkal
Atlanta Knanaya Community Action Committee decided to make a peaceful but strong protest March to the Bishop house of Syro Malabar Church in Chicago on Sunday March 3, after the KCCNA elections.
The purpose is to hand over the resolution and the protest letters passed by the Knanaya Makkal of Georgia to Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath. We will seek an appointment with Bishop. We are going to express our concerns and disappointment directly regarding his pastoral circular dated December 20, 2012.
There is a suggestion from Atlanta Knanaya Representatives that all the North American unit representatives who come for KCCNA election in Chicago on March 2, may stay back for one more day and join us in showing our unity and solidarity in protecting our ethnic identity as Knanaits to the bishop and to the world. This is an ideal opportunity to show our strength, unity and to express our disagreement with bishop. Tell on his face that we mean business and we are serious in safe guarding our centuries old tradition and identity. We will communicate to him in strong terms that we will not allow him to dilute or destroy our Knanaya community ethnicity.
Hence I kindly request / call up on all the presidents and Secretaries and National council members to consider this idea seriously/positively and join us in support to make it a successful protest. Please do not forget to bring your official letter. We prefer all to join but make sure at least one or two persons represent from each unit.
