Warm greetings from Canada . My name is Charli Joseph Chirayil and I am an active member of Canada Knanaya Community since last  seven years. I would like to declare my candidacy for the position of Tresurar  forKCCNA 2013-2015 term.  As Mahathma Gandhi  once said, “As soon as we lose the moral basis, we cease to be religious. There is no such thing as religion over-riding morality. Man, for instance, cannot be untruthful, cruel or incontinent and claim to have God on his side.”. In this challenging period which we are going through, I firmly believe that strong community organizations are critical for the Knanayacommunity than religious  .  I am willing to take up the challenges to lead the community through these difficult times while creating an environment for our youngsters to be actively involved in community affairs

 

I am the son of   Mr. Joseph Chirayil, Kurupumthara parish. I am married to Marykutty Joseph and have two sons, Chakson and Crifmon. I currently live in Canada & have noticed so far that the American Knanaya leaders are not at all recognizing the Canadian knanaya community and there has not been proper representation for us Canadian knanayites in the KCCNA executive for many years. This is not because of the lack of professionalism or leadership skill of Canadian Knanaya community members. While I go through the profiles of a few Presidential candidates of KCCNA 2013, I am confident that I am better qualified than some of them. Also, let me seek support from KCCNA national council members of north America to be a team member of an educated leadership after election. Many of the national committee members have encouraged me to stand for this position and by the request of the knanaya community here, I am declaring my candidacy. As you all realize the immediate need for a very strong executive for the period of 2013-2015, my promise to you is that  KCCNA will not been hijacked, if I am part of the same executive during 2013-2015.

 

Let me brief about myself

 

• ·         I started my community service at a young age through the K C Y L.
  
• ·         1987 to 1995, K C Y L unite president of Kurupumthara
  
• ·         1988 to 1989, K C Y L Kaduthuruthy Ferona Presedent
  
• ·         1990, Candidate for Kerala assembly  from Kaduthuruthy Niyamasabha Mandalam
  
• ·         7 years I am working with Nalla Ayalkkaran Magazin whichi is circulating through out the world. The chief editor of this Magazine is Rev.Fr. Jose Chazhikattu.
  

 

 I do not believe in giving hippocratic ideas to my community, like within two years span of time I will be doing miracles in KCCNA. Also, KCCNA is a place for team work and not a place for a one man show. My track record speaks for itself. As you might understand from previewing my track record that I am a proven team player with core community values.I hope you have gotten to know me better and I humbly submit my candidacy as the Tresurar of KCCNA 2013-2015 for your valued consideration and blessing.
