Where is KCCNA EC to make decisions affecting KCCNA? Or is the Bishop and the clergy now has taken over that role?

There are confusion and controversy regarding KYAA, and its composition, with the Executive Vice President claiming KYAA has provided written confirmation that they are a non-endogamous group. If there is truth in it, the Executive VP must produce that communication. If there is no such communication, please clarify that too.
We understand that KYAA is not sub-organization of KCCNA, nor they want to be one. However, there are many Knanaya young adults who participate in their activities believing that they adhere to the endogamous nature of the community. If that is not strictly followed, it is the responsibility of KCCNA leadership to enquire and ensure that KYAA adheres to the "by birth AND by deed" definition, and if not, warn the parents, young adults and the community.

Hence it is very important that facts must be verified. Whether there is any written communication or not, because there is a controversy surrounding KYAA, KCCNA leadership needs to take appropriate actions to clarify the issue.

We all support KYAA in the belief that it also supports our community's endogamous identity. If there is any dilution to that, it won't be any different from KANA, and KCCNA should not have anything to do with them. On the other hand, if KYAA respects KCCNA constitution and supports our endogamous identity, we wholeheartedly support KYAA. During our administration, we elaborately enquired about the ideology under which KYAA is operating, and was convinced that at that time they also support and adhere to KCCNA's definition of a "knanaya".Suzanne Mazhuvanchery, an NC member then, was the main organizer, and we obtained a detailed report from her, as well as made a substantial inquiry by both then KCCNA General Secretary Pious Velupparambil and Treasurer Jose Edattukunnel. Based on this, we supported KYAA financially during our term, after determining that they are also an endogamous group.  Now, if there is any deviation from that under the new KYAA organizers, KCCNA should take that matter very seriously.

Apparently, KYAA is organizing the Manglish Syro Malabar mass (if you had the bad luck to hear this Manglish mass, you will recognize that it is an INSULT to Holy mass)  because the "bishop and achans requested it". Two things seem to be very strange in it, and alarming. First, KYAA, an entity representing young adults born and brought up in North America, is organizing a Manglish Syro Malabar mass. Secondly, The bishop and the priests are asking for a Manglish Syro Malabar mass, using North American born youngsters. One can see the game plan here. The question is have the organizers of KYAA taken into consideration what their constituency or members want. Do they want a Manglish Syro Malabar mass or an English Latin mass?

To my fellow KYAA comrades: Your masters are your constituency (members). Your responsibility is to respect and fulfill their wishes, not any outside forces' desires. If your intention is to serve the endogamy supporting young adults of North America, you will have the community's full support. On the other hand, if you want to be the weapons of some forces who are bent upon destroying our endogamous identity,  we, the community cannot support you. You asked for our financial contributions, and before we embrace any such support, you need to clarify your stand and declare your willingness to serve your constituency, and respect their wishes, instead of any outside forces.

This communication will also be shared in non-KCCNA email groups.

Dear Avarachen Chettan,

As a Convention Sub-Committee Chair, I am following constitutional guidelines for Convention sub-committee chairs and there is no violation or controversy.

Liturgy committee didn't come up with any agenda for youth, rather we fully support and assist them on their needs. KCCNA president indicated possibility of having an additional English SM mass for youth (in addition to Latin mass), youth representatives approached liturgy committee for help with mass and adoration. KCCNA president has confirmed this in his email. Youth Chairperson Philip Kandarapallil has already confirmed Marilynn's role, their interest in liturgical needs and that he is in close communication with youth liaison.

We respect EC's authority, any changes you make kindly communicate early enough so that we can go ahead with arrangements.

Sincerely,
Mathew Abraham,
Liturgy Chair

Dear Mathew,

I wonder your committee's idea of having Syro-Malabar Mass on Thursday and Adoration on Sunday for youth and young Adults are discussed in and got the approval from Convention Committee at all?   Because based on the phone conversation with KCCNA President Baby Manakkunnel on Sunday July8th morning, we only have one Holy Mass for youth which is an English Latin Mass on Saturday.  So please stop any further planning with Syro-Malabar English Mass and Adoration until this matter is discussed in our KCCNA Executive

Also who appointed  Marilynn Pathyil as representatives Youth  Committee appointed by KCCNA Executive?  What is her role? Below shown is our Young Adult/Youth committee appointed by KCCNA Executive with Jake Illickal as Liaison.

Mathew Valuchira, Chair Liturgy Committee, Philip Kandarappallil, chair person of the Youth Committee and Jake Illickal Liaison to both committees please report to KCCNA Executive with further clarifications
