Recentlywe have noticed that some printer users were plagued by supply memory error. So, we did some research on this error and decided to publish this blog. In this blog, we will introduce the causes and solutions of this error message. Hope it will help you clear the error in HP printer.

Supply memory error is an error message displayed on HP printer screen when the supplies are incompatible or undetectable. Once you receive this error message, you can no longer print with the supplies installed. The most common supply memory error codes are 10.10.00, 10.00.02, 10.00.10, 10.00.00, etc.

Just so you know, HP will release new printer firmware versions to fix bugs or improve print experience from time to time. When printer firmware update is available, most printer users will choose to update it without thinking too much. However, new printer firmware might block 3rd-party printer cartridges and cause supply memory error.

When cartridges are not installed in place, the printer will fail to detect the chips on HP toner or ink cartridges. Thus it might give a supply memory error. Besides, the demaged metal contactors in the printer will also cause poor contact bewteen cartridge chip and printer.

Each printer has corresponding printer cartridge models. Only the right models will be recognized by your printer. For example, HP LaserJet Pro M404n printer can only use CF258A with chip and CF258X with chip. Therefore, please double check the cartridges installed and make sure they are compatible with your printer.

Take out the printer cartridges from your printer and check the status of cartridge chips. If the chips are physically damaged, you need to install new cartridges with quality chips. Also, stained chips may also cause poor chip contact. If the chips are stained, you can clean the chip surface.

Take out the cartridges from your printer and reinstall them. Make sure the cartridges are installed in place. If you are using a color laser printer, i.e. HP Color LaserJet Pro M281cdw, please make sure every HP 202A toner cartridge or HP 202X toner cartridge is installed in the right toner tray. The color of cartridge need to match the color of cartridg tray.

Check with your collegues and see if anyone in your office updated the printer firmware. Because when a new printer firmware is available, the printer will pop up a message to notify printer users to update it. Most users will confirm update.

If you confirm that the printer firmware was updated, this might be the reason of supply memory error. Please contact your toner cartridge supplier to ask for a refund or free replacement. Most reputable toner cartridge suppliers will provide satisfactory after-sales service. True Image is a premium compatible toner cartridge online store. We offer quality toner cartridges and best service to all printer users.

When you turn on the printer auto updates, it means HP can update your printer at anytime without your premission. This increases the risk of supplies being blocked by HP printer firmware update. Therefore, it's necessary to turn off the printer firmware update options. Learn Three Ways to Disable HP Printer Firmware Update. Or you can downgrade HP printer firmware to make your printer accept compatible cartridges.

When you buy printer cartridges, double check the compatibility and make sure they are compatible with your printer. You can also check the compatibility before you install the cartridges into the printer. This also reduce the risk of printer damage.

There are many toner cartridge suppliers in the market. But not all suppliers provide high quality products and worry-free customer support. Before you choose a new toner cartridge supplier, it's better for you to read some reviews from other customers. In this way, you will know if the supplier is trustworthy. When you buy printer supplies from a trusted supplier, you have nothing to worry about. Because they will address any problem with the product or purchase in a timely manner.

My Laser Jet M1212nf MFP still copies, but everytime I try to print or scan a document it doesn't work and it shows a supply memory error on the display. I already tried to switchof and uplug the printer, but the problem still persits. Can anybody help me???

They should both be raised proud of their mount. In all cases of this error which I have dealt with (I'm a reseller) one or both have been pushed into the mount and are failing to spring out when the cartridge is removed.

It means that one of your ink cartridges is not working properly. Try reinstalling the cartridge. If that doesn't work, your supposed to replace it. I find that if it is a color cartridge, there should be a way to over ride or ignore it, but I haven't found a way to do that yet.

Sorry- no! I had gone round to the customer expecting to deliver an exchange for a faulty toner... then offered to have a quick look myself at the problem. Ended up selling him the replacement toner- win, win!

I updated to 17.2 Sunday and my print function no longer works. I do not have a vpn installed on any of my devices. The hp printer shows on my list of available printers but when selected it starts gathering printer information but never finishes and goes back to no printer found. Had no issues prior to this update. Judging by this forum this is apparently a common issue so hope a patch is forthcoming. Apple Support??? What say you?

I think it has to do with update to 17.0.2 IOS update. I cannot print from my Iphone 12 any longer and it keeps gathering printer info so will not allow print function . i am using Epson ET-3760 printer . My supply levels on printer are full also.

I had this same issue when our iPhone updated to IOS 17... Apple help tried all the usual things that did not work. Finally, they asked if I had updated my printers firmware. I updated the firmware and sure enough it was working again. Before the update to the firmware all of our updated iPhones would not select the printer, however, our old iPhone with IOS 14.. could print fine. So try updating your printers firmware.

okay so I found a way around this but it adds steps to process . rather then 1 step to print you now have 4 or 5 steps to allow print. When you go to print you will see on top a picture that looks like a page with arrow on it . Click on that then go down to which printer you use and click on that . You'll get notice that it might not print correctly. Hit ok but if you only want to print certain page you will see star up on top for settings. Click on that to make your selections and click done . then click on print at bottom of page. Good luck until they come up with a fix to Update 17.0.2

Same problem. Tried all suggestions; updated firmware; turn on/off (worked the other day, but not again); no VPN connected. Does Apple know how to fix this? Please can someone from Apple reply with a solution to this.

1) Support Code : B200 says "An error has occured. The printer needs repair. Turn printer off and unplug the power cord of the printer from the power supply. Then see the manual and contact the service center."

2) The orange light is flashing in 10-flash segments. There is no error troubleshooting help for 10 flashes in the Canon guide.

Hopefully this helps anyone with a B200 error. I have a Pro-10 that started flashing alternating between the power and fault LEDs, 10 times per LED per sequence. Totally unresponsive to anything I did, has all Canon pigment installed and only Canon pigment has ever been installed. Tried unplugging power, restarting numerous times, nothing. I even tried someone's suggestion to unplug power, hold power button 30 seconds, reconnect AC power, still didn't work.

Here's what solved it after deciding to experiment to try and initiate a hard reset command and not feeling that holding the power button down for 30 seconds while unplugged would accomplish doing that.

I unplugged the unit, held the power button down for at least 30 seconds (was probably about a minute), while STILL HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON DOWN plugged the unit back in and kept holding the power button down for at least another 30 seconds (likely was more like a minute), while doing this the power LED was solid white the entire time... then while still holding down the power button also pressed and held the feed button for at least another 30 seconds (holding both down). Upon releasing the two buttons the printer appeared to be off.

I turned the printer back on and, lo and behold, it started up and performed a lengthy self clean cycle and functioned as normal.

Hope this helps someone, may work on the Pro-100 as well.
