Hello Guinea Pig Sponsors!
I hope you all are doing well!
I am doing joyfully myself, having landed a dream job fundraising for the organization Operation Ava. It's a no-kill rescue for dogs and cats located in the heart of Philadelphia. I fundraise for animals for a living now!
In my new job, I came across a fundraising tool for animals that was so effective that I wanted to use it for SAGP too. You may have visited the site in the last few weeks or days and noticed it links to a new one:
http://sagpoctober2013.mydagsite.com/.
This site has been amazing when promoted well, so I'm counting on you all to help me get the word out for Junco, this month's piggy! Please, this month more than any other month, share Junco's site. People are hesitant around change, and I really want this to be a success, because I think that this site has the power to make a real difference to SAGP's fundraising power. On this site, all the buttons are there for you to press share!
Crowdfunding, a term you might have heard in conjunction with the sites Kickstarter and IndiGoGo, is the near future of fundraising. It keeps records for me in a way paypal never did, keeps a running total so the fans have a live tally of how much has been raised, and allows for a lot more interactivity on the part of the rescue, which is where the piggy actually lives. I think that if we gave this site a few month's trial period, it would really give us the ability to set goals in the $1,000s.
Thank you so much for everything you do for animals. It's wonderful. Please keep going with me.
Kindest regards!
