It's more accessible than our Google Groups. Easier and faster to use.
It also allows user to vote up/down the ideas of others.
Once I update some libraries on our servers, I'll also be able to
enable a single-signon system between our site and the UserVoice
system. For now, the best thing to do is use the same OpenID on both
sites.
I'm not sure yet if/how we'll use the new widget and service, but I
encourage you to participate. At the very least, I'll start posting
some of our feature requests there so that users can vote them up/
down. It should replace our frequent surveys, essentially allowing the
users to create their own surveys with their own questions and ideas.
Other sites, notably StackOverflow.com, have been using this widget
with great success.
