The SpokenWord.org curation feature is now officially in beta test. We
just sent out email to nearly 5,000 registered site members and more
than 30,000 Conversations Network members announcing Curations. In
case you missed it, I've pasted the relevant portion of the message
below.

The next step is yours. we have more than one hundred subscribers to
this list, but still less than ten curations. This is the time to do
it.

Check out the SpokenWord.org homepage and you'll see how we're
featuring curations in each category. Your curation could be there.
(It *should* be there!)

If you're ready, check out our Collections FAQ:
http://www.spokenword.org/faq-curations. This will get your started.

And if there's something that's holding you back, speak up right here
in our forum. Something confusing? Something missing? Something just
not right? Let us know!

And thanks again for all your support.

Curators Wanted
_______________________________________________________________

SpokenWord.org is the best place to find and share audio and
video spoken-word programs. But with more than 800,000 programs
in our catalog, how do you find the good ones?

The answer: Curations.

We receive more than 1,000 new programs every day, and until
now we've simply displayed the most recent programs in each
category on our homepage, updated every five minutes. It's
great to see so many new podcasts and videos fly by, but
without someone to tell you what's worthwhile, it's not all
that useful.

Now on the homepage you'll begin to notice curated programs
under many categories instead of just the most-recent programs
we've discovered. And who are the curators? They're
SpokenWord.org members, just like you.

Is there a topic you're particularly passionate and
knowledgeable about? Would you like to share your expertise by
maintaining a curated list of audio and/or video programs for
SpokenWord.org? Would you like to become one of our hundreds
(even thousands?) of curators?

You can get all the details from our Curations FAQ:
http://www.spokenword.org/faq-curations

Special thanks to our alpha-test curators (and their
curations):
