Hi,

While playing around with the API I noticed that I always get the
programs in a feed in the same order, regardless of the value of
orderby. So for "http://api.spokenword.org/feed/3334?
count=200&orderby=oldest" I get:

Feed:
Id: 3334
Programs:
* Id: 177319
RecordingDate: 04-03-2009
Submitted: 14-03-2009
[...]
* Id: 177507
RecordingDate: 04-05-2005
Submitted: 14-03-2009
* Id: 216897
RecordingDate: 14-03-2009
Submitted: 15-03-2009
[...]
* Id: 293262
RecordingDate: 23-05-2009
Submitted: 24-05-2009

And for "http://api.spokenword.org/feed/3334?count=200&orderby=newest"
I get exactly the same thing. Am I doing something wrong?

The ordering itself also surprises me. It seems to be ordered by
"submitted", oldest to newest. At least for my purposes, an ordering
by "recordingDate" would be more useful.

On second thought, I see why you would like to have an ordering by
"submitted"; at some point you will only want the newly submitted
programs for a feed, regardless of their recording date.

The question about the order remaining the same remains.

We don't reliably get a recording date. The only reliable date for
*all* objects is the submitted date. RSS feeds usually, but not
always, include a pub date for each item.
