Hi everyone!

My name is Spencer, and we moved to Elk from Bozeman about a month and a half ago. I have a background in ham radio and emergency communications as the president of the Gallatin Ham Radio Club and a member of the Comms team for SAR. We have been building and implementing LoRa-based tracking for SAR team members in the field for the past year or so, and I am excited to help start building a network here!

I currently have a solar node on top of a hill at the back of our property which covers pretty much from Diamond Lake in the north, Clayton to the west, the dump to the south, and does ok to the East of Elk, but starts dropping off when you hit the hills. Right now its on Meshtastic, but I'll probably start moving things over to MeshCore here soon.

Hey Spencer, good to meet ya! Sounds like you've got some fantastic experience. Any details on the hardware you used for your solar node? Beyond the cheap Harbor Breeze light I posted about, I'm putting together a more "legit" node to compare and contrast performance. Thanks for joining the list!
