It's awesome to see everyone here! I figured I'd kick things off with a quick introduction...
Name: Aaron (A-A-Ron, if you prefer)
Location: A few miles south of Spokane, WA
Background: Linux systems engineer with 20+ years of IT experience across universities, startups, and open source projects. I've worked across infrastructure, security, and network design, with a particular interest in distributed systems and automation.
Interest in the project: I've been interested in mesh networking since the early cjdns days and I'm excited that LoRa-based networks are finally gaining real grassroots traction. I started the Spokane Mesh Network to help connect people across the Inland Northwest who are working on or curious about this kind of tech.
Current setup or goals: I'm running a few nodes labeled with 🐵🪩 ("Monkeysphere"), named for Dunbar's number and small-group social trust. Next, I plan on experimenting with solar-powered builds and am scouting out new spots to help expand our regional coverage. Lots of fun stuff to learn in the radio realm!
