2) Select the person and the type of action they must take on this proposal. Then click the ADD button:
3) Click the OK button to close the Ad Hoc Recipient window. If you selected the wrong person or wrong type of action, click the delete button to start over.
4) IMPORTANT: Click the Send AdHoc button to notify the person AND insert them into the Route Log! See instructions for adding an ad hoc BEFORE you route the proposal at the bottom of this page.
5) Click the View Route Log link now to confirm the person was added into the Route Log.
Instructions for adding an ad hoc BEFORE you route the proposal:
The main difference here is that anyone you add before you hit [Submit for Review] will automatically be notified and added to the route log AFTER you click the [Submit for Review] button. You cannot see them in the route log before then. Also, they will be added at the BEGINNING of the routing chain (first on the long list). So if you need someone to be in the route chain further down the chain, such as after Chair and Dean authorization, you must add them AFTER the Chair and Dean (example) have e-signed off. So if you need to add Chip Lenno to approve a proposal after the Dean has authorized it, you must wait until the Dean has signed it and it's "sitting" in Cindy's Action List. She must wait to e-sign until Chip is added and has taken the action he's asked to before she e-signs off.
