How do I change the Dept ID on the proposal development page?

Once a proposal has been saved (by clicking either the SAVE button or the SAVE & CONTINUE button), the lead unit can't be changed. The user will either need to start over from scratch or copy the proposal and change the lead unit before saving.

SPOs can delete a proposal that has been saved with the wrong lead unit assigned. If you're not a SPO, contact us to let us know you accidentally saved a proposal with the wrong lead unit. We'll delete it for you.

Note: If the lead unit changes from the time of proposal submission to the time the proposal is awarded by the sponsor, SPO can change the lead unit in the Award module.
