How do I update the name of a department in Kuali?

First of all, HR data is dependent on ONLY the unit number (deptID) so you can change/update unit names in Kuali all you like. The flip-side is that unit names are not maintained automatically by HR data flows so we have to keep them up ourselves. For example, unit name change (the deptID is the same) for University Writing Program, now Communication Across the Disciplines (CAD), is as follows:

System Admin Portal > Miscellaneous > Unit > search for old unit (by name or number) > edit+submit to commit the change to Kuali. Voilà!
