I need to add an Ad Hoc Recipient (i.e.: Barbara Zappas, etc.) and I want their administrative assistants to get an FYI too. How do I do it?

Contact SPO. SPO can give anyone view-access to a proposal. Details at: How do I give a person view-access to a proposal (without making them an APPROVER)?

Whenever you add an Ad Hoc Recipient (like Barbara Zappas, Chip Lenno, etc.) their delegate and administrative support will NOT be notified. Delegates and administrative support ONLY get notified automatically for STANDARD routing processes (i.e.: when a proposal from a unit underneath Chip bubbles up and he needs to sign off as the unit head). 

If you want an Ad Hoc Recipient's delegate and/or administrative support person(s) to also be notified when their SO has been added as an Ad Hoc Recipient (of any kind),  you have to add the delegate or admin support person as an Ad Hoc Recipient - FYI. Or you can simply provide them view-access to the proposal via the Access tab and then email them the URL to the proposal.
