Hi Everyone,

Huge thanks to those who joined our meeting last night! We’re moving toward a new "Committee-Based Model" for SPN Athletics. The goal is simple: instead of having one person do everything, we’re breaking tasks into smaller, manageable roles so we can grow our programs without burning anyone out.

We’ve got some exciting things on the horizon, from summer skills camps to potentially bringing back sports like Soccer and Flag Football. To make this happen, we need your help!

Want to get involved, but not sure where to start?  You're in the right spot. Please fill out this Google form: https://forms.gle/P2y8KcnMAF8VQAcCA

Here’s the "Cliff Notes" version of what we’re working on:

  • New Roles: We’re looking for "Commissioners" for specific sports, as well as help with game-day operations, concessions, and social media. So many ways you can help.

  • Summer Skills Camps: We’re planning 6-week Sunday night sessions (6:00–8:00 p.m.) to keep the kids sharp on ball skills and defense. Adding in some Volleyball camps, as well. Let's keep our gym occupied and our kids active!

  • Fall Volleyball: This is our immediate priority! Registrations are coming up fast. Chad Buchan has agreed to take on the Volleyball program and ensure we have a solid foundation.

  • Expansion: We’re gauging interest in bringing back Soccer and exploring the requirements for these sports: Flag Football, Cheer, and T-Ball.

  • Standards: We’re establishing "pillars" for our program to ensure our athletes and coaches represent SPN with pride and respect. Jorden Dubas and Sean Keetle have taken the lead on this and welcome parents' feedback and suggestions.

Whether you have a professional skill to offer (like photography or web design) or can just help with suggestions and feedback, we’d love to have you involved.

Let's build something great for the kids!

Best,

Michele
