Indeed, the element should report a single score. The aggregator has no insight into the structure of the iframe.

Now it's not uncommon for an iframe to have multiple elements, and it would be nice to tweak their score weights in a uniform way. I think that is best handled through a separate customization interface. I'll write another message about that.

For now, why not come up with some reasonable mechanism, e.g. 1 point for each completed video and each completed exercise? Most instructors don't care that much.

Yes, I think storing more complex information could well go into the state field. Then if the aggregator is able to make use of this information, it can.
