Opportunity to Volunteer on Christmas

Dear Friends, Bethlehem on Broad Street is a Christmas celebration for folks who are homeless, lonely, and in need. Many volunteers and churches participate in this event at First Congregational Church. In addition to a full Christmas dinner, gifts, and support, the organizers are in need of "listeners" who can visit with guests as they wait for their dinner. We are looking for "Listeners" who circulate around the Sanctuary, to give a kind ear, an armful of possible resources, and possibly sharing a prayer.  Examples of resources to share are the Mid-Ohio Food Bank listing of Free Fresh Produce locations by zip code, Job Help Listing, list of Senior Resources, list of Housing Programs, and much more.

 

Location:  First Congregational Church at 444 E Broad St. 

Shifts:     9:00 - 11:00 am

             11:00 -   1:00 pm

               1:00 -   3:00 pm

 

For each shift, we ask that the volunteers arrive 15-20 minutes early for orientation.
