Contemporary Prayer Bead Workshop

The Cornerstone Prayer Team of Stone Village Church will be hosting a contemporary prayer bead workshop Sunday, April 22 from 2-5pm. Many cultures and religions use prayer beads as a way to connect with God. It is a tactile way to pray. Each workshop participant will be provided with all the supplies needed to create their own personalized prayer beads.

Most of the time is spent choosing beautiful beads to represent the many aspects of your life or what matters most to you.  Some people choose a few extra beads to represent people/events/changes that may be coming in the future.  Imagine a bead for each person you love, a bead for your career, a bead for your health, a bead for a current goal, a bead to represent a charity that is dear to your heart.  The only artistic/craft ability needed is the ability to put jewelry wire through a hole in a bead.  When the workshop is done, you leave with your very own beautiful life on a wire.  This then becomes a special way to pray, to hold these beautiful beads and to remember and pray for all they represent.

Please note that this workshop is designed for age 16 and up. Stone Village Church is located at 139 East 2nd Avenue. Columbus (corner of E. 2nd & Summit St.) There is no cost to attend this workshop but space is limited to 35 participants.
