We know you are,

and so are we, closing in to the end of another year. What a spectacular 2014 it has been for everyone at CIS, and everybody we know!

In honour of the recent landing of Philae on a comet, we are talking this time about space, solar system and our existence in  it.

Here is a rundown of all the fantastic ways we are saying hello to 2015 in style:

CISians' Christmas Get Together

Every year ends with festivities when all at CIS and their loved ones get together for a great vegetarian meal. We will be meeting for a delicious feast on Monday 15 December from 7:15 onwards at the Egg Cafe, Newington Street, Liverpool L1 4ED soon after the last meditation session of the year (6-7 pm in 17 Rodney Street).

This event is not exclusive to just members so anyone wanting to join in, just drop by and enjoy the festive feast with us. We look forward to seeing you!

Everyone welcome!

Altering Past and Future by Meditation

A member recently wrote to us asking if it is possible to alter our past and future using meditation. Like taking time and changing its dimensions. Is it possible?

Whilst the angel's lesson in the film might have been a bit extreme, Marvin argues that it may be perfectly possible to achieve that and shows you how.

We are only getting to grips with what consciousness is but one thing we do know, is that it is not material. Read this fascinating piece in Marvin's Science Point.

Terraforming and Living on Mars

And hurray, another feat for the human race - Curiosity the rover sent up by NASA to Mars has today found an ancient lake on the red planet.

Dr Harish Chandra and us discuss our fascination with the cosmos and if there is anything in the Vedas that talks about this.

Most of our sci-fi storytelling always involves space journeys. And terraforming and living on another planet is part of that. Listen to this fascinating discussion in our latest podcast created by our team - what will terraforming and living on Mars be like?

More Online Patanjali Meditation Sessions

Our latest webinar (online Patanjali Meditation sessions) started October 23rd and is coming towards its conclusion. But there's more sessions lined up as always.

If you want to learn meditation from the comfort of your room, this is the easiest and most efficient way to learn something that could potentially change your life.

Our members have spoken with experience about how they now live a more stree free life, are happier, sleep better, perform efficiently in work and study and are more intuitive in making the right life choices.

So, join in for the next webinar session!

Tuning into Real Sound of Space

Looking for sounds to soothe down before sitting to meditate?

Andrew set about looking for them - fountains, rivers, wind, but then he found the sound of space. Technically sound doesn't travel in space but he explains how this clip was put together for a project. It ranges from being soothing to haunting, so exercise caution!

That's all for 2014!

What a rollecoaster of a year it has been! We are getting stronger as ever.

More and more volunteers are stepping forward to conduct the Patanjali Meditation sessions and are contributing to the newsletter and the website content such as this. Without their effort we would not be able to reach thousands across the world like yourself.

So together, we sign off, in joyous expectancy of another great year and many thanks to all.

With love,

Jeff, Andrew, Marvin and Lily

Team CIS
