Dear all,

I have some interest in neuromorphic hardware. I would like to pursue some studies for the diagnosis of dementia on edge computing via EEG. Similar to those for epilepsy and EEG:
https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/neuroscience/articles/10.3389/fnins.2023.1303564/full
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0010482524013106

We have our EEG data from Alzheimer patients, rather than simulations with PyNN we would like to use the real Spinnaker machine. Is there any chance we can have granted access for such a project?

I just checked the eBRAINS platform and I can access a notebook for Spinnaker, but I assume it is allowed for few minutes, I cannot train and save entire deeplearning models for the aforementioned project. Right?

My eBRAINS ID is: alexcrimi

Thank you and best regards,

Alessandro

Hi,

The EBRAINS notebooks themselves can be used for processing as much as you need I believe.  That said, they might not be the fastest!  EBRAINS does have some access to HPC resources too if you want to do off-SpiNNaker training for example.  If you are doing on-SpiNNaker training, you can certainly run things as long as you want with the appropriate quota.

Let me know if you need more help with this,

Andrew :)
