[Ultimate Frisbee] Important info for this week!

[Carpe Discus]

It's NOT too late to play! If you have missed a some practices, don't worry. There is still plenty of frisbee left in the school year; and once the snow melts, the real fun starts! But you must commit by April 1st!

We have practice tonight (Monday, 25th) and an VERY important parent/player meeting on Wednesday, March 25th at 7pm in the MVHS forum. 

Here is how to participate this season:

1. Get a USAU ID number (it is free to set-up!) and email it to us at coa...@spinferno.org
   
2. Go to spinferno.org and follow the Player Checklist. (If that doesn't work, see email attachments.)
3. Attend the Player/Parent meeting: Wednesday, March 25th at 7pm in MVHS Forum.
4. Go to practice!

The meeting on Wednesday will exhaustively discuss financial and time commitments. Until then, keep an open mind and let's have some fun!

See you tonight at Chippewa from 7-9 for practice!

The ID number is free. Think of it like a login. The membership fee is $30, and you can pay that later, but we need the ID number ASAP to build the rosters for three whole teams.

Hi Coaches:

I just wanted to let you know that Cole Jurek has some sort of hamstring issue that keeps popping up in Ultimate practice sessions.  I told him to take it easy for awhile during practice until it heals.  Hopefully this is ok.

We want Cole healthy for the state tournament, so whatever he needs to do until then to heal is cool with the coaches.

However, he is still expected to come to practice and games to support his teammates and learn strategy.

Hi,

After the meeting yesterday, I spoke with Tyler about our son's potential schedule conflicts between Ultimate and traveling soccer.  Since he's a 9th grader and you'll be the coach of the B team, I thought I should let you know about this, too.

Beginning soon, he'll have soccer practices on Monday & Wednesday evenings. The season will officially begin in early May and his games will be on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays.  We expect most of the games to be played in June, but there will be some played in May. 

David really wants to play Ultimate, but I'm wondering how we can work this out.  Tyler thought it would be ok if he left Monday practices early so he could go to soccer practice (basically, he felt the B team allowed for more flexibility).  For Thursday games, David might have to miss a few. 

Please let me know your thoughts on this.  I'll contact his soccer coach and see when the game schedule will be available.  Maybe we'll be lucky and not have many conflicts.
