Summer Ultimate and YCC

Hey everyone,

I just got an e-mail from the State Youth Coordinator about youth ultimate this summer.  For those of you interested in continuing your Ultimate experience and those of you wanting to play YCC this year, this is for you.  Here's the e-mail.

Hello coaches and organizers!

Please pass this on to your players. Youth summer league registration opens tomorrow 12:01am at mnyu.org. The league will run Saturdays 9:30-12 at Bossen and Mondays 6:30-8:30 at the National Sports Center in Blaine (with a few dates at other fields) starting this coming Monday June 17th.

The cost is $25 which includes field costs and discs for the first 90 players who sign up. Players must have a USAU membership to sign up.

All players aged 12-18 are welcome to sign up. League games will have a separate division for players under 16.

Youth Club Championship teams will be formed from the players in the league. Players 16-18 as of June 1st 2013 will be eligible for the U19 teams and players under 16 on June 1st will be eligible for the U16 team. Perfect attendance at summer league is not required to get on to a YCC team, but the more players attend summer league the greater visibility they will have with the YCC coaches. Once YCC teams are formed (at the end of the month) each team will practice separately at times/dates TBD.
