Oh well, we'll just have to hope for the best. Here's an optimist's schedule:

Thursday 5/2:

Girls: Practice @ Snail Lake School, 4pm sharp. After practice, drive to Turtle Lake to watch Boys game.

A-team: Home game @ Turtle Lake School, be there at 5:15pm sharp. 

B-team: Away game @ Roseville, meet in the Rainbow Foods parking lot (96 + Hodgson) at 4:30pm sharp.

Friday 5/3:

Carboload 6-8pm (please arrange for your ride to arrive before 8)

Chris hurt his back at practice last weekend so he is out of playing and climbing for 10 days!

 

On the NOHOA front:  Dale came to the meeting tonight.  His last day at Birchwood was Tuesday, so he has a few days off before he starts on Monday.  He saw tonight first hand the need to herd cats : )

A little history lesson for ya:

Cinco De Mayo celebrates a Mexican victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla. Some historians believe this battle had a large impact on the outcome of the American Civil War. France was allied with the Confederacy and, because of the loss at Puebla, was unable to resupply the Confederate armies.

Secondly, it was significant in that, since the Battle of Puebla, no country in the Americas has subsequently been invaded by any other European military force. Although, many in Argentina might claim that the Falkland Islands were invaded by the British in 1982.
