Hi All,

In the new version I realized that in two channels, if I give two ideal pulses where one channel does not have any power, then it gives synchronization error in timings.
Anybody else noticed the same?

Regards
Paul

Hi Paul,

Could you please send me an input file example where this happens?

Thank you,
Mikhail

Hi Mikhail,

Here you go,
Look at the first pulse of the sequence. I wanted that to be ideal pulse, but it will not count the delay. It will take no timing for channel two.
I know this happens because it is calculation the effective flip angle.

The workaround is definitely use finite pulses, but in case if somebody wants to use ideal pulse, they will face this issue.

CHN 1
timing(usec)        0.5    (200)1024D1 (0)   (200)1024D2
power(kHz)          500      0         0      0
phase(deg)           90    0         0      0
freq_offs(kHz)        0    0         0      0
CHN 2
timing(usec)       0.5   (200)       (0)    (200)
power(kHz)         0      0         0      0
phase(deg)           0      0        0      0
freq_offs(kHz)       0      0        0      0

Hi Paul,

This pulse sequence does contain an error. A 500 kHz pulse is treated as an ideal pulse by the program. This means, in particular, that its duration is zero. So, on the other channel you should also have a pulse of zero duration for this sequence.

Best regards,
Mikhail
