New job / internship / startup opportunities in summer

I hope you are enjoying your well-earned summer!

For those of you who did not get in SPIKE this summer and for those who are simply looking for something else, there are many oppurtunies out there, including paid ones.

Below is an example from the job listing. It's a new position and they are offering a summer stipend. You'd also get to participate in the accelerator, a huge bonus.

Title: Web Development Engineer Summer Associate with a Princeton Accelerator Portfolio Company

Description: 

We are seeking a candidate with development skills who can join our startup Wisdom.ly (http://wisdom.ly/) while we participate in Princeton’s TigerLabs program. Our company is in the edtech/meetup space, and we are in the process of creating a group video platform that helps facilitate a learning experience focused on intimacy and collaboration.

You will be working alongside four individuals. One had valedictorian consideration from NYU Stern, and the other worked for a leading venture capital firm and was a Director of Ops at an early stage content curation company.  Wisdom.ly was accepted to numerous accelerator programs and has received very positive reception.

If you want to be a part of helping to build and shape a startup in this space with the potential for future employment, this is the opportunity for you!

We are currently looking for someone with experience with startups and web development.

The background we are looking for is someone with:

-       Computer Science Degree

-       HTML/CSS/JS

-       Some exposure to backend such as Ruby on Rails or PHP or Python and ability to learn rapidly.

-       Other JS frameworks such as Node.Js, Meteor.Js, and Backbone.Js

Even if you do not perfectly fit this criteria, if you are interested in this space and willing to learn rapidly alongside a group of accomplished individuals we will definitely consider your application.

As a Summer Associate, you would join us for 10 weeks (June-August 15^th) and during this duration we can offer a stipend, living space with the rest of the team, participation in the accelerator program’s activities, and the potential for future employment + equity.

We will be located in Princeton, NJ for the duration of the summer but will also have an office in NYC as well, which allows for easy traveling and the opportunity to work from both locations
