as Talkback sucks in several points. Of course I'm willing to contribute

The latest interesting commit brings ability to suspend spiel using left
right gesture.
I think Nolan is looking for more donations in order to allow continued
rapid development.

Hello,
I haven't really tested this my-self up to now however I think it is verry similar how talkback can suspend it-self. i.e. when the spiel is suspended you can lend your phone to sighted person to work with, explore by touch is not active while spiel is suspended. Then you will lock the screen and as you unlock it back spiel will resume its operation like normal.
