Can someone please tell me where is the source code repository for spiel? I would like to try compiling it. The main page http://spielproject.info is down so I was not able to find any reference there.

Hello,
Spiel git repository is at
https://thewordnerd.info/scm/projects/spiel

It may be down from time to time but I've just pulled from it about a few minutes ago and it's working fine now. So apparently project is still alive people are updating their translations and from time to time there are also new features.

Greetings

Peter

Is there currently any mechanism in place to fund future development?

Thanks, the site was indeed down for a bit, and I was working on another
project yesterday, but I restarted the server and failed to let the list
know.

As for funding, I've been going back and forth on this for a while, and
while I don't want to close the door in the future, I haven't been
excited to work on Spiel as a solo project in a very long time, and
would rather build new and interesting projects. I'd be happy to
continue with Spiel as a community project, and to work to onboard new
developers. But I don't want to do it alone, even with funding.

I live in the SFBay Area, so lately I've been doing a significant amount
of outreach to Silicon Valley companies by going to accessibility
meetups and that kind of thing. I'm looking to target Android in
particular because I use it and because there's clearly so much work
that needs doing. I'm sure it will not surprise you to learn that the
awareness of Spiel in that community is, well, nonexistent. That can
change, I'm just unsure of the most constructive way to bring it to
peoples' attention so that there's forward motion on it. I know that's
not very much in terms of contribution, but being unemployed and all,
it's the best I've got.
