The registration for the 1st National Policy Brief Competition on Intellectual Property & Innovation 2025 by SpicyIP and CIPAM, DPIIT, is in full swing, with multiple teams signing up each day. We’ve received an outstanding response, with 75+ teams having registered so far. Since the announcement of the competition, we have received a couple of emails enquiring about the structure of the written submissions and the output document. For the benefit of those who have already applied, as well as those who are still on the fence about this exciting competition, we are sharing a clean, ready-to-reference template to guide participants through the essential elements required for their written submissions.
The template can be accessed here.
This template provides a skeletal structure that participants must follow, while still giving them the freedom to add subheadings, subsections, and visual aids like charts, etc., where helpful.
The template has to be read along with the Rules & Guidelines and the Terms of Reference (TOR) in the respective problem statements (Problem Statement 1 and Problem Statement 2).
Remember, the last date to send your written submissions is December 14, 2025. Registrations are open till the close of submissions. There is no separate deadline for it. However, you must register before submitting your written submission to be able to get the team code. It is recommended that teams register well in advance of the Submission deadline to avoid any last-minute rush or confusion.
