inductions and publicity

hey everybody! A meeting was conducted today and a couple of things were discussed in the meeting.

• the goa state convention ( the amount of help and involvement that we can provide towards organising it )
  
• inductions for first yearites and other batches ( basically inviting more volunteers )
  
• need for increasing the publicity of Audit courses and SPICMACAY on campus
  

the next meeting will be on saturday ( 11th aug ) at 5.30pm. the next meeting is for inducting new people into the organisation and also to conduct elections for the posts of coordinator..etc. Before Saturday there is an urgent need to inform more and more people about the existence of this organisation. posters will be put up tommorow regarding audit courses and also about spicmacay inductions. through word of mouth please spread the message to as many people as you can so that we have a larger group of volunteers this time.

and everyone please attend the meeting on saturday. the venue will be posted soon.

Where's the convention going to be taking place? Because from what I remember they plan on having the pre-quark event, INKtalks in the auditorium on the 25th. 

Is it going to be held in SAC then?

inktalks is gonna happen only on 25th from 3pm to 6 pm....so the audi is available for us aftr 6..which is when we will have our concerts..so no problem about that..:)

Are you sure arrangements can be made in such little time? What if there are delays anywhere? Shouldn't we be having an alternate arrangements elsewhere, like at SAC or VGH maybe?

Delays are obvious..
An alternate arrangement at the SAC lawns or library lawns can be thought of.

Sorry I didnt attend the meeting. I'd not checked my SPICMACAY folder in my mail, and no one told me about the meeting. Maybe next time we should call people up before the meeting, so that people at least get to know such a meeting's happening.

Renuka's right, most probably we wont get the audi for that day. Backstage isnt even sure if the audi is going to be set by INKtalks. Will  talk to them, and confirm. If the audi is undergoing renovation at that time, it will be completely unavailable to us. VGH is a very good option I suppose we could discuss this in the next meeting (for which, I hope, people wont hesitate to call other members). 

And btw, isnt the event  a little too close? :-o

So we will have to look for alternate arrangements: SAC or Library lawns
Or if possible, the B dome Plaza.

SAC is a good option; can be done but library lawns will require set up. I mean the shades and stuff like that.
