Hi All and Dear Wilco Terink,

I have around 20 glaciers in my catchment. I have created 24 stations. But at some stations, I am not getting the glacier melt contribution (in mm), even they have glaciers in their upstream areas.
How can I resolve this problem? I need to see the response of each glacier. What should be the strategy to define stations (or locations) in the catchment area, so at each station (which has glacier) I can calculate the glacier melt (in mm)? Presently, I have put all stations by following the delineated river network and flow accumulation.

Kindly help me in this regarding.

Regards,
Vishal

Hi,

This depends a bit on what version of the model you are using. In the most recent release, which is version 2.2.1, you can report the fluxes for each individual glacier by setting the GlacID_flag to 1.

However, given your previous posts I believe you are using 2.1.1? In this version you cannot report the flux per individual glacier. What you can do is report the basin average response by setting mm_rep_FLAG to 1. This gives you a time-series of basin average fluxes in mm for the area upstream of each point defined under locations. These are then reported under QGLACSubBasinTSS and GMeltSubBasinTSS. By putting points on the glaciers itself, it will only report the time-series of that particular grid cell and not the glacier as a whole.
