SphyPreProcessor plugin running upto 85% and then the GDAL error appearing as per the message in the question without creating sub-basin maps.
Where is the fault? or it is a bug?

Likely you have not created the outlets.shp correctly. If there are not outlets, then it cannot delineate the watershed.
