I am working on SPHY-2.2 Model having glacier mass balancing module on the Indus Basin in Pakistan. I have prepared all the datasets including glacier csv file. I am working on setting the parameters in sphy_config file. I just wanna know the ranges of parameter values (e.g., DDFs or Snow Storage etc.) for the model calibration. Further I did a dry run to the model and got some issues in the results. Timeseries Total rain runoff (RTotDTS.tss) values of other than 1st timestep is 1e31 while Snow and Glacier runoff timeseries shows values in all timesteps. Can you let me know the reason of that?

Thanks in advance

The ranges are approx:
DDFS = 2-10
SnowSc = 0.01 - 1.0

Missing values in the time-series are often related to missing kc values in your land use map; i.e. you have to check that for each land use class in your land use map you have defined a kc value in the land use table.

Hi,

Which version are using exactly? Is it version 2.2.1? You can look here https://sphy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/releases.html to tell me the version you are using.

In terms of parameter ranges:
SnowSC: 0.0-1.0
DDFS: This depends on your area of interest, but somewhere between 4 and 8 would be a good start. This does not mean it cannot be lower or higher than that.

Having 1e31 values in your runoff time-series means that the location of your station is likely not located on the stream network?
