Dear Fellow SPHS Alumni:

Please remember that in addition to purchasing tickets for the Annual
Hall of Fame Dinner by mail, you can also purchase tickets online at
www.sphsalumni.com. Tickets are $35 each. Please remember to specify
your preference for Chicken or Fish and whether you you would like to
be seated by others from your class who have purchased tickets. This

ADS FOR PROGRAM BOOKLET. Time is running out to place an Ad in this
year's Hall of Fame Program Book. If you want to place a
congratulatory Ad for one or more of the Inductees and/or advertise
your business at a reasonable price, please contact Robin Mitchell at
215-922-2454 as soon as possible to place an Ad in this year's Program
booklet. The prices are:

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS, PLEASE REMEMBER TO LET US KNOW. This year
during the mailing of our newsletter, we wasted approximately $200 in
postage for undeliverable addresses. As in years passed, we will be
removing the addresses of members whose Newsletter was returned so
that we do not waste postage on mailing to the bad address again.

REUNIONS. Don't forget to let us know if you are planning a Reunion
for your Class so that we can post it online. Even if you are in the
planning stage only, we can still post your Reunion as TBA ("To Be
Announced"). It was my pleasure to meet the Class of 1977 at their
Reunion held at Chammps Restaurant in South Philly on April 1, 2011.
The Membership Committee will try to attend other Reunions as well.

NEW PRESIDENT OF THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. For over the past 30 years
or so, Bill Esher has been the face of the SPHS Alumni Association.
Kudos to Bill Esher for a job well done!!! On April 20, 2011, SAM
CHATIS (Class of 1958) was elected as President of the SPHS Alumni
Association. Congratulations, Sam!!! Sam will be introduced to the
Alumni Association at the Hall of Fame Dinner on Thursday, May 12,
2011.

NEW WEBSITE COMING. In the next couple of months, the SPHS Alumni
Association will roll out a new look for its website
(www.sphsalumni.com). The new website will link to the SPHS Alumni
official Facebook Page (to be announced) and include other new
features.

YEARBOOKS STILL AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE BY LIFETIME MEMBERS ONLY.
Lifetime Members can still order yearbooks for the low price of $15,
which includes shipping, if your particular yearbook is in stock (if
the Cart says it is out of stock, we may have a reference-only copy
that we are holding back. If so, we can have a copy of the reference-
only copy made). We also encourage anyone whose parent, grandparent,
aunt, uncle, etc. went to Southern, who would like to have a copy of
their relative's yearbook, to purchase a Lifetime (or Memorial)
Membership in their relative's name to receive their yearbook for the
price of $15. We have yearbooks dating back to the first graduating
class of Southern (Class of 1910).
