To our friends and supporters,
It has been an exciting month of events promoting awareness of the struggle for Palestinian human rights and the Occupation of Palestine at UBC and throughout Vancouver! Thank you for your continued support!
There is one last event that we are having on campus! Don`t miss this chance to see it as it is 1 day only!
Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights at UBC (SPHR-UBC) is proud to host A Child's View From Gaza. It is a very powerful testament to the horrific effects of warfare on mental heath, manifesting in PTSD, which puts children at risk for becoming part of a cycle of violence. Gazan children created these drawings in after-school therapy sessions to cope with the trauma they suffered as a result of the Assault of Gaza 2008-2009.
SPHR-UBC is proud to be part of a network of over 20 Vancouver groups and sponsors including the AMS Social Justice Centre and UBC`s Centre for Race Autobiography Gender and Age Studies (RAGA) to bring the exhibit here. We will be hosting the art on campus on Thursday, 15 March, Abdul Ladha Science Student Centre, 11am-4:30pm. Admission is free, but donations will be collected
Please share this event with your networks. Hope to see you there!
