Hello.

I installed Sphinx on my current computer because I wanted to retrieve an old Sphinx project I had in Spanish. Everything seems to be ok.

Now I have added a new page (in Spanish too) to the project and, when doing make html, the output I get at _build/html does not show properly accents, but question marks.

And I get warnings saying "Source characters uncodeable".

What should I do?

Thanks!

The actual message I get when executing make html is:

WARNING: undecodable source characters, replacing with "?"

I get one of these messages for each letter with accent on the new .rst file.

In order to fix it I have been unsuccessfully playing with the settings on my system, my editor and on sphinx's conf.py

Any suggestion is very much welcome...

Solved.

The cause of the problem was the devil was into that file.
I deleted the file, created it again (exact clone) and problem fixed!
